Gandhian Young Technological Innovation Awards
Explaining my project “QuitPuff – Salivary Diagnostic Kit for Early Detection of Oral Cancer”
to the Vice President of India, Shri Venkaiah Naidu
Received a research grant by the Government of India through the Gandhian Young Technological Innovation Awards 2019. The award was presented to me by the Honourable Union Minister of Health and Family Welfare, Dr. Harsh Vardhan at a ceremony held at Vigyan Bhavan, New Delhi on July 2019.
This award is presented to innovations that economise on the use of material, are extremely affordable, sustainable and have the potential of addressing an important social problem faced by the masses.
I received this award for my research titled “QuitPuff: A Simple Method Using Salivary Lipid Peroxidative Changes to Assess the Risk of Oral Pre-cancerous Lesions and Oral Squamous Cell Carcinoma in Chronic Smokers”
