YEARN TO LEARN LABS

I founded Yearn to Learn Labs, when I was fourteen years old.

It is dedicated to setting up biology, chemistry, physics and math labs in schools and colleges that don’t have them.

Schools and colleges that provide free education run on a limited budget. As a result, they are unable to afford essential educational resources like science or math laboratories, that impart hands-on and practical learning. The students have no outlet to express their creativity or learn by actually doing. Yearn to Learn aims to bridge this gap by setting up biology, chemistry, physics and math labs in as many schools and colleges that it can support with its funding

Since 2015, we have set up 120 Laboratories of Science and Math in 30 schools, benefitting 15000 students.

The funds for these labs are sourced mainly from the income generated by my to e-commerce site, knicnacs.com, and partly from donations and crowd funding campaigns.

Yearn to Learn Labs has spiked the interest of students in STEM subjects. It has improved their grades and their confidence levels. It has motivated students to participate in competitive Olympiads with 990 students participating in National Math Olympiad and National Science Olympiads with 77 Gold medals, 59 silver and 57 Bronze medals between the years 2017-19.

WHAT WE DO

We identify schools that need labs.

We meet the principal and teachers of the school and make a list of lab equipment required as per their curriculum.

We set-up Biology, Physics, Chemistry and Math Labs in their school premises.

On the day of inauguration we hold a Science and Math Quiz to get the students interested in the subjects
